SAN DIEGO (CNS) – A fire of unknown origin caused an estimated $125,000 worth of damage at a San Ysidro strip mall Thursday.

The blaze erupted in a pedicab business in the 4600 block of Border Village Road about 9:15 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. It took engine crews about 15 minutes to subdue the flames, SDFRD spokesman Lee Swanson said.

A man who tried to extinguish the blaze before firefighters arrived was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
