Calimesa Fire destroys multiple mobile homes

A fire in Calimesa has destroyed multiple homes in a mobile home park. Calimesa is located in Riverside County east of Moreno Valley.

CALIMESA, RIVERSIDE COUNTY (KUSI) – CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters are on scene of a wildland fire near Calimesa Boulevard and Sandalwood Drive. The fire is currently 150 acres burning at a rapid rate with numerous structures destroyed, unknown number of exatly how many at this time. Updates will be posted as information becomes available.

There are mandatory evacuation orders for: 

South of 7th Street, east of County Line Road.
Hard road closure in place: 7th Street at Sandalwood and 7th Street at County Line Road.
The Riverside County Emergency Management Department has opened a care and reception center at the Calimesa Senior Center, located at 908 Park Avenue in Calimesa.
