Fire crews secure line of containment around Lakeside Fire

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Tuesday —  Crews secured a full line of containment Tuesday around the 18-acre Lakeside Fire that sparked near San Vicente Reservoir over the weekend.

The blaze, which threatened no structures, erupted for unknown reasons Sunday afternoon off state Route 67, near Slaughterhouse Canyon Road in the Lakeside area, according to Cal Fire.

Monday — A brush fire that charred 18 acres north of Lakeside was 60 percent contained Monday morning.

The blaze ignited for unknown reasons Sunday afternoon in the vicinity of state Route 67 and Slaughterhouse Canyon Road in Lakeside, according to Cal Fire.

No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened, fire officials said.
