Flood warning issued as rain continues to fall

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A flood warning was issued just before 9 p.m. Thursday as rain continued to fall around the county.

Areas expected to be affected by flooding were Chula Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Temecula, El Cajon, Vista, Encinitas, National City, La Mesa, Southern Lake Elsinore, Poway, Imperial Beach, Ramona, Coronado, Del Mar, Alpine, Fallbrook, Mission Beach, Hillcrest and Point Loma.

The National Weather Service predicted rainfall rates would be anywhere between half an inch to one inch per hour.

The flood warning was in effect until 10 p.m.
