Former bio-tech executive found guilty of trying to kill two in La Jolla

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A former executive has been found guilty of trying to kill two people at two separate La Jolla homes.

Hans Peterson shot his former partner and his brother-in-law.

Peterson had been fired from his position at a bio-tech company and had become estranged from his wife.

The defense argued he was not in his right state of mind. They said he was recovering from a stroke and was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Peterson was also convicted of burglary.
