Former Temecula Mayor plans to challenge Congressman Duncan D. Hunter in 2020

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Former Temecula Mayor Dr. Matt Rahn, says he is aiming to unseat recently re-elected Rep. Duncan Hunter for California’s 50th Congressional District in 2020.

Dr. Rahn said some of the biggest issues the district faces are improving transportation services, public safety, health and human services and homelessness.

When it comes to immigration Dr. Rahn said there needs to be strong border protection but the government shouldn’t be holding the American people hostage with a shutdown.

According to Rahn’s biography on the City of Temecula’s website he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Nevada Reno, his Ph.D. from UC Davis, and his law degree from the University of San Diego.
