Giant Lego Christmas tree to be lit

CARLSBAD (CNS) – Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is scheduled to light
what's being touted as the world's largest Lego Christmas tree at Legoland
California in Carlsbad Monday.

The ninth annual lighting ceremony will begin at 5 p.m., according to
park officials.

The tree stands more than 30 feet and is made of more than 245,000
forest green Duplo Lego bricks.

Guests of the park Monday will also be treated to snow, fireworks and a
visit from Santa Claus, park officials said.
