Girl missing from National City middle school found unharmed
NATIONAL CITY (KUSI) – A girl who went missing from her National City middle school was found unharmed around six hours later, police said.
The 13-year-old girl was reported missing when her parents went to pick her up from National City Middle School around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, but she wasn’t there, National City police Sgt. Matt Smith said.
Police searched in the vicinity of the 1700 block of D Avenue, where the school is located, while a police helicopter circled overhead searching and making announcements.
Police issued a statement about her disappearance around 7:30 p.m. and sought the public’s help to find her. Shortly before 9:20 p.m., she was found unharmed.
No details were immediately available regarding her disappearance or where she was found.
