Governor Newsom’s budget includes funding to support women and their families

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Governor Newsom just proposed the largest budget in California’s history, and it includes funding to support women and their families.

The budget comes as San Diego prepares to once again join cities across the country in hosting its Fourth Annual Women’s March.

Since the march’s inception, San Diegans have peacefully demonstrated in solidarity and with a continued commitment to send a strong message of resistance to the current administration and to lawmakers across the nation against certain policies.

39th District Senator Toni Atkins was in studio to discuss the budget and the upcoming march.
