Grand jury deliberates wife’s possible involvement in Orlando shooting

ORLANDO (KUSI) — The investigation continues into the life of terrorist Omar Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman.

Officials say she knew about the attacks before it happened and now she may face severe consequences.

A grand jury is looking at possible criminal charges against Salman.

Evidence suggests that Salman knew her husband was planning an attack and said nothing.

The FBI now confirms Mateen’s wife went with him to purchase ammunition as well as guns two weeks before the attack.

Agents said she may have also known he was casing Disneyworld as a possible target.

Now, it’s up to the grand jury, which will decide if there is enough evidence to charge Salman.

The governor of Florida said if anyone else is responsible, they will be prosecuted.

President Obama is heading to Orlando on Thursday to meet with survivors as well as family members of the dead.
