PREVIEW:
The Granite Hills Eagles(1-0) will take a trip to Mt. Carmel(0-1) for Week 2. This week of high school football will be filled with excitement and some upsets. Both teams are coming into this week trying to keep their early season in the win column.
The Eagles had a very impressive win over Poway to open the season. Coach Kellan Cobbs knows how important Week 2 is to start a winning streak this season. The eagles offense will be ran by senior quarterback Cristopher Ostreng who showed great pocket presence and showed his quickness when he takes off on the ground. Junior running back Richard Harris will be a huge impact for this team as he has great break away speed in the backfield and returning kicks. The Eagles defense is led by senior Noah Medeiros.
The Mt.Carmel Sundevils are coming off a tough loss to Valley Center. Sophomore quarterback Carson Taumoepeau showed he had a strong arm to open the season but will be facing a very strong Eagles defensive line with little time to throw. Sundevils wide receiver Parker Campana broke off a huge 70 yard catch in Week 1 and will look for huge plays like that this week.
