Great California ShakeOut and earthquake preparedness

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – In two weeks, California will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the deadly Loma Prieta Earthquake in San Francisco with an earthquake preparedness drill.

On Thursday, Oct. 17, at 10:17 a.m., millions of Californians will practice what to do when the ground shakes during the Great California ShakeOut.

Glenn Pomeroy, CEO of the California Earthquake Authority, was at KUSI to tell us about it.
