Greyhound Adoption Center Adopt-A-Pet: Meet Firewire

Lauren Phinney met with Rhonda McAllister from the Greyhound Adoption Center to introduce Firewire, a 2 year-old greyhound looking for her forever home.

Firewire arrived from the Caliente racetrack in Mexico with five others (Pyzel, McTavish, Panda, Vulcan, and Walden) on May 26. They were given a surfboard theme for their names. Firewire would enjoy living in a busy home with cats, small dogs, and respectful children of all ages. This lovely little girl is happy, playful, and well-adjusted.

All dogs from the Greyhound Adoption Center have a complete medical evaluation, are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and undergo a thorough dental cleaning. They are then fully evaluated for temperament and personality as well as tested with cats, small dogs, and young children before being profiled for a home.

Come out and meet Firewire and her 45 companions on Sunday, August 19, 2018 when the Greyhound Adoption Center hosts an Open House and tour of their facility from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. The address is 4821 Dehesa Road in El Cajon. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the breed, greyhound rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and volunteer opportunities.

Private tours may also be arranged by appointment. For more information or to schedule a private tour, call toll free at 1-877-478-8364, visit www.houndsavers.org, send a message to info@houndsavers.org, or follow GAC on Facebook.
