Grocery workers hold rally at a Mission Valley Ralphs

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The United Food and Commercial Workers Union took part in a rally at a Ralphs grocery store in Mission Valley today.

Grocery workers say they’re looking for a pay increase to afford living in Southern California. However, they claim that local grocery stores are stalling on contract negotiations with the workers’ union.

Last month, workers voted to authorize a strike, but union leaders haven’t ordered one yet.

Negotiations pick back up again next week.
