Group attacks two men in Fallbrook apartment complex

FALLBROOK (KUSI) — Police sought up to a half-dozen people Tuesday who are suspected of attacking and stabbing two young men near an apartment in Fallbrook Monday night.

The 20- and 22-year old men were walking through the apartment buildings on South Vine Street near West Clemmens Lane around 10 p.m. Monday when four to six men approached them. “Heated words” were exchanged and then the men attacked, sheriff’s Sgt. Dwain Washington said.

As the men attempted to get away, the 22-year-old was stabbed. The pair then headed back to the apartment building but the group caught up and stabbed the younger man, Washington said. Both men were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

A couple of the suspects were wearing bandanas to cover their faces. They may have fled in a white Honda Civic, Washington said, which was last seen pulling out of the parking lot with its lights off on South Vine Street.
