Gunshot victim possibly tied to Emerald Hills shooting

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Police on Monday were investigating reports of a shooting in Emerald Hills after an injured man showed up at Sharp Grossmont Hospital with a gunshot wound.

After a preliminary search of Emerald Hills Park turned up no victims following reports of gunshots being fired on Sunday night, a man came into the hospital with a non life-threatening injury to his leg. However, he refused to cooperate with police.

Officers believe that the man may have been connected to the park shooting, and an investigation is currently underway by gang investigators.
