Habitat for Humanity to dedicate rehabilitated National City home Monday
NATIONAL CITY (CNS) – One of seven vacant homes being rehabilitated by Habitat for Humanity is scheduled to be dedicated Monday and turned over to a poor family.
The house on 10th Street was fixed up in a partnership between the charitable organization and the city of National City, which invested $650,000 into the project.
Volunteers with Habitat, among other things, made sure the houses are lead- and asbestos-free.
The homes are being made available for purchase to families that earn 80 percent or less of the area’s median income, which for a family of four would be around $63,100.
