Head-on collision in Rancho Santa Fe sends one to hospital

RANCHO SANTA FE (KUSI) – One person was extricated from a vehicle and transported to a local hospital Thursday afternoon after a head-on collision off Via de Fortuna. 

According to North Comm Fire, the collision was between two trucks and occurred sometime after 5 p.m. 

One person had to be extricated from their vehicle and was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
