Head-on collision near State Route 94 leaves four injured

LEMON GROVE (CNS) – A head-on collision on an East County freeway onramp injured four people Monday, including at least one child, authorities reported.

The wreck on the connector from Lemon Grove Avenue to eastbound State Route 94 occurred shortly before 1 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Deputies reported that the victims’ injuries appeared to be minor, sheriff’s Lt. Jim Walker said.

The accident left one lane on the ramp blocked into the mid-afternoon, the CHP reported.
