High-speed pursuit and foot chase caught on camera ends in injury and arrest

CARLSBAD (KUSI) – An intense pursuit that started in a car and ended on foot was caught on camera after the suspect escaped into a hotel and was apprehended by several police officers.

The chase began on the southbound I-5 at Oceanside Blvd. at around 2 a.m.

The suspect reached speeds up to 140 miles per hour, eventually crashing at Raintree drive.

The suspect then got out of the car and ran towards a Best Western.  Footage shows the suspect climbing a storage container and jumping onto an SUV.

During the pursuit the suspect even broke into an occupied hotel room.

The chase ended with a fight between the suspects and officers, and he was taken to a local hospital after suffering multiple bites from a police dog.
