High temperatures dominate San Diego’s weather

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A ridge of high pressure is dominating San Diego County’s weather Monday, allowing for an increase in temperatures but a cool down is coming.

Already high temperatures in inland valley areas will strengthen Monday. On Sunday, high temperatures were 14 degrees above average for this time of year. Mountain areas will continue to experience gusty winds.

Onshore flow beginning Tuesday will break down the ridge of high pressure allowing temperatures to cool by 15 to 20 degrees Wednesday and Thursday. Mountain areas may receive some rain Wednesday while the rest of the county sees cloudy skies.
