HILLCREST: Police looking for hit-and-run motorist
SAN DIEGO (CNS) – San Diego police were on the lookout Tuesday for a
motorist who failed to stop after striking and seriously injuring a pedestrian
in Hillcrest.
The hit-and-run accident at Sixth Avenue and Evans Place was reported at
8:19 p.m. Monday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.
A 49-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by a
southbound brown four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota, Delimitros said in a
statement. The driver did not stop and was last seen headed west on
Pennsylvania Avenue, he said.
The pedestrian suffered an open arm fracture and a head injury,
according to Delimitros.
