Hillcrest to unveil San Diego’s first ever LGBTQ+ crosswalk

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The LGBTQ+ community will gather at the corner of Normal Street and University Avenue in Hillcrest Saturday to celebrate the installation of San Diego’s first rainbow crosswalk.

This event is called Catwalk on the Crosswalk and will include performances by the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus and Women’s Chorus. It will also highlight the impact of the LGTBQ+ community in San Diego.

Councilmember Chris Ward of San Diego’s 3rd District was in studio to tell us more about it.
