The Foothillers starting off quick with the 80 yard run by Alijah Avant. That would lead to a Jared Redfield score to put Grossmont up 7-0. Then the Foothillers get it done on defense. The big interception by Lucas Medeiros. That would set up a Jake Harr 22 yard touchdown run.

Hilltop would have chances to get back in it. Luis Hernandez with the nice return and an interception by Alex Tejada but they weren’t able to convert it to points.

Meanwhile Avant continues to run and run hard. The 25 yard touchdown run in the 2nd quarter put the game firmly in the Foothillers control. Ricky Valdez also doing some hard running for the team.

Hilltop would score on a touchdown pass from senior quarterback Daniel Sanchez to Michael Talbert in the back of the end zone. But by halftime it was clear that the Foothillers were going to be too much.
