SAN DIEGO (CNS) – Local, state and federal offices will be closed Monday for Labor Day.
In San Diego, the Miramar Landfill will be open from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but the recycling office will be closed.
City golf courses, swimming pools, skate parks, Chollas Lake, and the Mission Trails Regional Park visitors center will all be open.
Parking meters will not be enforced.
Many county parks will be open, with the exception of the El Capitan Preserve, Hellhole Canyon Preserve, Wilderness Gardens Preserve and Mount Gower Preserve. Community centers in Fallbrook, Lakeside and Spring Valley will be closed, along with the Spring Valley Gym, 4S Ranch Sports Complex, and teen centers in Lakeside and Spring Valley.
In Carlsbad, the Monroe Street pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from noon to 4 p.m.
Trash pickup in all areas will be pushed back a day this week.
Metropolitan Transit System trolleys will operate on a Sunday schedule, as will most buses.
All buses, the Sprinter and Coaster trains operated by the North County District will run on a Sunday schedule.
