Holiday shopping and festivities underway in Ocean Beach
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – It’s the last weekend before Christmas and preparations in Ocean Beach, including some last-minute local shopping, are underway.
The holiday season kicked off with the planting of the OB Christmas tree in the sand, followed by the 40th anniversary of the OB Holiday Parade, themed Miracle On Newport Avenue, earlier this month.
As the holidays quickly approach, local vendors lined the streets of Newport Avenue Friday selling everything from handmade jewelry to tie-dye T-shirts.
Business owners, residents and visitors were cheerful underneath the massive sign hanging over the beach town that reads: Happy OB Holidays.
