House Intelligence Committee votes to release memo on FISA abuses
The House Intelligence Committee voted to release a memo alleging abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA. The memo was written by California Congressman Devin Nunes. It claims the FBI used the phony Russia Dossier as part of a case to obtain FISA warrants for former Trump Campaign Advisor Carter Page.
The memo cited Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and outgoing Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe for their roles in overseeing aspects of the investigation. McCabe abruptly stepped down from his position after Director Christopher Wray read the memo Sunday night.
Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, spoke about the memo earlier this morning.
