House Republicans grill attorney general on FBI investigation
WASHINGTON D.C. (KUSI) — On Capitol Hill Tuesday, Attorney General Loretta Lynch appeared before a congressional committee concerning Hillary Clinton’s email investigation.
And local San Diego-area Congressmen Darrell Issa was one of the main representatives questioning her.
Loretta Lynch was center stage, finally answering questions about her decision not to prosecute Clinton.
And she was facing those questions from upset Republican members of Congress.
It was the House Judiciary Committee.
The purpose of the hearing was to see if Lynch gave preferential treatment to Clinton based on politics.
The questions were tough and constant, but Lynch refused to answer questions concerning the specifics of the investigation.
And that is possibly, what upset San Diego Congressmen Darrell Issa the most.
House Democrats on the committee called the hearing a "fishing expedition," and they believe no new evidence was revealed.
