How American drug users are supporting Mexico’s drug cartels
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Drug cartel gunmen ambushed three SUVs along a dirt road, slaughtering six children and three women — all U.S. citizens living in northern Mexico — in a grisly attack that left one vehicle a burned-out, bullet-riddled hulk, authorities said Tuesday.
The recent violence appears to be the product f exploding tensions between two rival cartel groups: La Linea from the Juarez Cartel and Los Salazar from the Sinaloa Cartel.
No government, military or police force has been able to keep these cartels in check as they seem to be operating with impunity.
