How can Larry Millete be arrested for murder without finding the body?

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – Now that Larry Millete, husband of Maya Millete, has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his wife, the next questions come into play:

Is there enough evidence convict Larry of Maya’s murder?

If so, what would that process look like?

Criminal Defense Attorney, Brian Watkins, joined KUSI’s Logan Byrnes on Good Evening San Diego to discuss the possible next steps for the case.

Watkins answered that the case’s investigators likely have a lot more evidence than that which was revealed at Tuesday’s press conference, although the information was plenty.

“I’m clear that they have a lot more evidence. Clearly, the circumstantial evidence that they’re giving out publicly is just the tip of the iceberg. They would not go forward with an arrest with just that bit of evidence,” Watkins said.
