Humane Society’s Project Wildlife celebrates 10th annual Baby Shower

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – A cross-eyed possum was the bell of the ball today for young San Diego wildlife.

The San Diego Humane Society’s Project Wildlife held their 10th annual Baby Shower featuring a registry so San Diegans can donate special gifts to the baby animals of their choice.

“San Diego is one of the most bio-diverse places in the United States and we are ecstatic that we can be a part of keeping this place as diverse and safe for wild animals as possible,” says Gary Weitzman, President of the San Diego Humane Society.

The Humane Society says through its Project Wildlife they go beyond just animal adoption to the wider social responsibility of strengthening the bond and awareness between humans and animals.
