Hundreds of students meet at Mission Beach to pick up trash

It was far from the average beach day for nearly 700 local students.

Together with volunteers, they showed up to Mission Beach to help pick up trash. Nearly 400 pounds of trash was collected.

The event is coordinated by “I Love a Clean San Diego” to celebrate “Kids Ocean Day.”
