Hundreds without power in San Diego’s coastal and inland communities

SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – San Diego Gas & Electric crews Friday worked restore power to several hundred customers in Ocean Beach and surrounding communities.

According to the utility, an unplanned outage was reported at 9:42 a.m. in Midway, Lindbergh Field, Ocean Beach, Point Loma and  Sunset Cliffs, affecting 365 customers.

No cause has been determined, but SDG&E expects to restore power between 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Smaller, unplanned outages are also being reported in the communities of Lake Henshaw, Palomar Mountain, Rancho Penasquitos and Rancho Bernardo, affecting 47 customers. According to the utility, power should be restored to those customers between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
