2 deputies, 2 women hospitalized after California collision

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Orange County sheriff’s officials say two deputies and two civilians were hospitalized following a crash involving a patrol vehicle and another car.

Authorities say the two-vehicle collision occurred late Wednesday in Anaheim as the deputies were responding to reports of a carjacking.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Carrie Braun says the deputies’ vehicle was struck at an intersection by a car with two women inside.

Braun says the two deputies and the two women were taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

The crash is under investigation.
