2 deputies hurt in confrontation at Southern California home

LA MIRADA, Calif. (AP) — The Orange County Sheriff’s Department says two deputies serving a restraining order were injured in a confrontation with a man at a home in La Mirada.

The Orange County Register reports the man they were trying to serve was also injured and taken to a hospital in unknown condition on Monday.

Sgt. Joses Walehwa says the man, in his 30s, is the son of a couple who lives at the home.

The deputies were treated for moderate injuries. Walehwa didn’t say what the injuries were, or how they received them.
