4 killed when 2 motorcycles collide in Southern California
LAKE FOREST, Calif. (AP) — A head-on collision of two motorcycles has killed four people on a Southern California road.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Sunday on Santiago Canyon Road in Orange County and emergency responders found two men and two women dead.
California Highway Patrol Officer Florentino Olivero tells the Orange County Register the preliminary investigation indicates a northbound motorcycle with two people aboard attempted to pass a car by entering the southbound lane where it collided with the other motorcycle, which also had two people aboard.
The car did not become involved in the crash.
Identities of the dead were not immediately released.
