8 arrested in federal weapons probe in Southern California
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have arrested eight people in a federal investigation into alleged weapons and drug crimes by Southern California gangs.
Ginger Colbrun, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, says Thursday that agents served federal arrest and search warrants at six homes including one in the Orange County city of Santa Ana.
She says the searches followed a nine month investigation by the ATF, FBI and police in Santa Ana and Anaheim.
