Avengers get epic send-off at ‘Endgame’ world premiere

LOS ANGELES (AP) — “Avengers: Endgame” has screened for the first time Monday night in Los Angeles at the film’s world premiere and initial reactions are positive and emotional.

Actor Chris Evans says he cried six times watching the film, which hits theaters nationwide Thursday, and his co-star Chris Hemsworth said he cried even more than that.

The film that picks up after the cliffhanger of “Avengers: Infinity War” has been shrouded in secrecy until the very last minute. The premiere itself was a who’s who of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Attendees included the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson.
