Ex-high school coach sentenced for giving pot to players
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — A former Southern California high school coach who smoked marijuana with her teen players has been sentenced to six months in jail.
Twenty-two-year-old Tiffani Lee Aguirre was sentenced Friday. She pleaded guilty to furnishing marijuana to a minor, unlawfully providing pot and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
Prosecutors say Aguirre was an assistant varsity softball coach at Magnolia High School in Anaheim last year when she drove three players to a park, produced marijuana and smoked it with them.
She was accused of doing the same thing with two of the girls at a later date.
