Ex sought in death of California woman in church parking lot

GARDENA, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man who they say is suspected of fatally stabbed his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of her church.

The sheriff’s department says 50-year-old Patricia Harrison was stabbed multiple times in the church parking lot in Gardena on Wednesday night. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police identified the suspect in her killing on Thursday as 55-year-old Lynwood resident Kevin Darnell Dickson. They say he’s considered suicidal and armed and dangerous.

The weapon in Harrison’s death has not been recovered.
