Gold rises, Silver rises

NEW YORK (AP) _ The November gold contract on the New York Mercantile Exchange closed today at $1,511.40 an ounce — up $18.20.
The current silver contract on the “NYMEX” closed at $18.01 an ounce — up 20 cents.
