Lawsuit accuses Weinstein of assaulting female producer

NEW YORK (AP) — Disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein sexually assaulted an employee multiple times and threatened her job, according to allegations outlined in new court papers.

Alexandra Canosa filed a lawsuit in December against Weinstein and his brother Bob as well as their company and board members. She detailed the allegations in a complaint filed Monday. Canosa was a producer on the Netflix show “Marco Polo.”

Canosa says Weintein sexually assaulted her on Aug. 12, 2010 in the Tribeca Grand hotel and that the abuse and harassment continued until September 2017.

Scores of women have come forward since last fall to accuse him of sexual misconduct. He is under criminal investigation in New York, London, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.

Weinstein has previously denied any non-sexual contact.
