Luke Combs adds Grand Ole Opry member to list of accolades

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Just two years after releasing his major label debut record, country singer Luke Combs was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry alongside his country music idols like Vince Gill.

Combs had the most popular country album in 2018 and is currently the leader in country album consumption through the first half of 2019 and has picked up awards from the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country Music and the Billboard Music Awards.

The 29-year-old North Carolina-born singer said on Tuesday night before his induction in Nashville, Tennessee, that being an Opry member meant he had a place to play his songs for the rest of his life.
