‘Metamorphoses’ chosen as 2019 Burning Man festival’s theme

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Burning Man has chosen “metamorphoses” as the theme for the 2019 edition of the annual festival held in the Nevada desert north of Reno.

The Reno Gazette Journal reports that the theme centers around ideas of change, transformation and uncertainty and was inspired by the Burning Man organization’s own tendency to change peoples’ lives.

The theme is the first not chosen by Burning Man founder Larry Harvey, who died in April at age 70.
