More than a dozen hurt in bus crash on Los Angeles highway
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Authorities say at least 13 people were injured when a bus crashed into vehicles and through the concrete divider on a Los Angeles highway.
Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart says three patients are in critical condition following the crashes Sunday on Interstate 405 in the San Fernando Valley.
City News Service reports responding paramedics had difficulty reaching the scene because of multiple chain-reaction collisions.
Most of the wreckage was in southbound lanes but at least one crashed vehicle was on the northbound side.
All lanes were closed, backing up traffic for miles on the key north-south artery.
