Nude photos linked to ex-USC doc in sex-abuse investigation

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Detectives were trying to determine whether nude photographs linked to a former University of Southern California gynecologist show any of the women who allege he sexually harassed or abused them during examinations.

Hundreds of women allege that Dr. George Tyndall made crude remarks, took inappropriate photos or groped them during exams at USC, where Tyndall worked in the campus health center for three decades.

The Los Angeles Times reports Tuesday that police investigating the sex-abuse allegations found nude photos of women, apparently taken in a medical exam room, when they searched a storage facility Tyndall rented. LAPD Capt. Billy Hayes says detectives are trying to determine if any photos show patients in a clinical setting.

Tyndall, who resigned last year, has denied wrongdoing and hasn’t been charged with a crime.
