Police: 4 people found ‘executed’ in home’s basement
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say two men and two women have been found shot and killed in a basement of a house being renovated in Philadelphia.
Police received a call Monday morning to check on the welfare of people at the house after a family member arrived to find the door ajar. Responding officers found the four in the basement, each with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police Commissioner Richard Ross says “sadly, all four of these individuals were executed.”
He says it appears they were “led” to the basement.
Two of the victims were a 31-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman. The others are described as a man approximately 20-30 years old and a woman approximately 30-40 years old.
Ross says the two men are believed to be cousins who were living in the home while it was being renovated.
