Quincy Jones at 85: ‘I’m too old to be full of it’

TORONTO (AP) — Quincy Jones says reports that the Eagles “Greatest Hits” passing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as the most selling album of all time are “bull.”

The legendary producer of “Thriller” in an interview says his album with Jackson has sold 150 million copies worldwide. Global sales figures are difficult to verify, though estimates suggest “Thriller” remains the best-selling album globally.

Last month, the Recording Industry Association of America announced that the Eagles’ “Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975” has sold 38 million copies in the United States, surpassing the long-held record of “Thriller.” Jackson’s album has sold 33 million copies domestically, said RIAA.

On Friday, Netflix will release the documentary “Quincy,” co-directed by Jones’ daughter Rashida Jones.
