Reno police ID victim in Sunday’s suspected homicide

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Reno police have identified an apparent homicide victim in a shooting on the city’s north side over the weekend.

Reno police said Tuesday 30-year-old James Devonn Marion was found dead in the parking lot at an apartment complex on Cannan Street just before 11 p.m. Sunday.

Officers had responded there after reports of shots fired in the 2300 block of Wedekind Road.

Police say Marion has ties to the Reno area but is believed to be from Fairfield, California.

An investigation is continuing.
