Superintendent withdraws from Los Angeles job consideration
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The leader of the Indianapolis school district has withdrawn his name from consideration for a job heading the Los Angeles district.
Lewis Ferebee informed Michael O’Connor, the president of the Indianapolis school board, on Tuesday that he was a finalist for the job. Ferebee on Wednesday released a statement saying he’s withdrawn his name and noting it was “an honor to have been considered.”
Ferebee has been in Indianapolis since 2013 after a series of jobs in North Carolina schools.
